History
The consecration of the Bethlehem Church was celebrated on 10 June 1917. The building funds came from a collection. The architect was Atte Willberg and the builder was Emil Lindstedt.

On the same plot of land stands the children's home founded in 1912 by Karl Hurtig, a Methodist pastor from Helsinki. Along with the station building, the youth centre (formerly a community school) and Kauniala, the church is one of the oldest public buildings in the city.
