Gary and Kathleen Hixson have over 37 years of experience of inner healing ministry all over the world. An important part of that ministry is the breaking of spiritual bondages in a believer’s life. Kathleen is a nurse by training and serves together with her husband, Gary. They have three children: Sarah, Joshua and Joseph.
Rev. Gary Hixson
Gary received his M.Div. in cross-cultural studies from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. He has been a hospital chaplain. In southern Mexico he served as Short-term team coordinator leading 42 work teams, was a circuit preacher/evangelist to 28 villages and led relief work in Guatemalan refugee camps. Rev. Gary Hixson is the Spain and Mediterranean area Director of Christ for the City International and an ordained Presbyterian minister. He is also founder and director of Deep Healing International and El Faro which is a residential counseling retreat and training center for missionaries, pastors, church leaders and their families located in Carmona, Spain.
He has worked in 61 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Central America and the U.S.A. teaching and ministering to pastors, cross-cultural workers, church leaders and just plain Christians. He has taught in Mongolia where they established a school of inner healing and deliverance. While directing El Faro Christian counseling retreat/advance center, he ministered at Emanuel Church in Seville, Spain where he shared responsibility for preaching, lay counseling ministry and training. Gary with wife Kathleen concentrates on the House Church Movement in persecuted lands and equipping its leaders to equip others in inner healing and deliverance. He and his wife helped found the “Liberty School” in the Rhine region with Wolfgang Simson author of “Houses that Change the World”. Gary is using Spain as a base for “boot camps” of intensive two week long training with 9-12 people followed by a ten day out reaches in a cross cultural setting. He has been a member of Dr. Charles Kraft's international healing ministry team for 14 years. The Hixsons are currently developing Deep Healing International with an under construction online school of inner healing and deliverance. See www.deephealing.eu
New teaching videos are about to come online in English, Spanish and Finnish. The website can be found at www.deephealing.eu Their keen interest of late has been establishing a ministry beach head in Finland where for the past 15 years they have founded Deep Healing Finland (www.deephealing.fi ) and have numerous regional ministry associates working there establishing healing communities. Gary over the years has worked extensively in Islamic countries in North and sub-Sahara Africa and most recently training leaders and pastors in animistic settings Haiti and Madagascar. The past five years Gary has focused on Muslim background believer refugees in Finland with seminars, personal crisis counseling and a Discipleship Training School.
What others say about the Hixsons
"I have known and worked with Gary and
Kathleen Hixson for many years now both in the
States and on overseas trips. I am convinced that
the hand of the Lord is definitely on them. I have
trained and ministered with many choice servants
of God. Among those I have worked with, Gary
and Kathleen stand out for their ability to live close
to Jesus, hear Him clearly and function regularly in
His power. God has gifted them in unique ways to
use the authority and power Jesus gave to His
followers (Luke 9:1) to bring freedom to those
living in captivity. They have now been used by
God to bring freedom to hundreds of people. This
puts them among the most experienced in the world in ministering to people this way."

"Gary and Kathleen Hixson's" ministry has been of great value to many people I know personally. However perhaps even more important is their vision to equip others to engage in spiritual warfare. In this age when the worldview of many Christians seems more taken from scientific rationalism than from the Bible, their ministry provides a much-needed correction."
